The H2 office divides neatly into two teams, one led by Matt Hirst, the other by Paul Hammond. Good humour and co-operation abound from Monday morning to Friday evening, but with the advent of the annual Paintball Challenge, all bets are off. It’s WAR.

This year, Team Top Gun took on Elite Suicide Squad in a gruesome mix of paint-splattered violence, legendary valour and shameful cowardice. By and large the troops were men of honour, prepared to follow orders and defend their positions to the last, even in the face of incalculable odds (eg. spent cartridges, paint-covered goggles, shocking lack of co-ordination and severe injury).

We’d like it to be known, that for single-handedly storming The Fort (an act not witnessed in 5 years) and securing victory for Team Top Gun, Paul Hammond was awarded the Paintball VC.

Yeah, whatever boss.
